"Every day of our lives
we are on the verge
of making those slight changes
that would make all
the difference".
~Mignon McLaughlin - The Neurotic Notebook~
Is choosing misery over change
all that?
must be
where is our sense of adventure?
we need a sense of adventure to make change...
really?
too many quick remedies
available
sacharine delights
to obscure the real
perpetuate our misery
cloud over those clear moments
when
we hear that voice of self
beyond our thoughts
on the verge
asking
Why not?

I love those moments when I hear that clear voice...
ReplyDeleteI so agree with you Kristin - I think there is THAT resounding voice, and you know exactly what you have to do, and you are so compelled and it makes so much sense, and you are giddy with the revelation, you do it.
ReplyDeleteBut i find that there is also the voice that cuts through all your brain's chatter, the one that every day says, ...So is this the day you are (finally) going to DO that? You can do it...and every day you are on the VERGE...but then you let it go for another day...
Left same comment on Writer's Rising, but had to pop over and read it on your page (will not be the last time).
ReplyDeleteWhoa, You know the sound you hear when your eyes see the wave crest and there is that gap between what your eyes hear and what your ears hear when the crest goes whooosh? That's the sound that suspension this transported me to:
cloud over those clarion moments
when
we hear that voice of self
beyond our thoughts
on the verge
asking
why not?
